Continuing to defend the extraction industries is what is hindering the efforts to heal our planet. Thank goodness the courts are sensitive to the needs of our natural world and all its beings.

This is not an April Fools joke...

An intelligent and well informed friend just wrote to me that he believes there is no hope for the planet. No one is willing to give up their cars or their investments in fossil fuels or their wood furniture or plastic water bottles. Most of us would just rather stay in "la-la land" than do what is necessary. I hope, and he hopes, he is wrong. This is not an April Fools joke.

Freedom of speech is just that... free speech...

Just because our president claims people are "making outlandish and false claims with no evidence" doesn't mean he can take away their freedom of speech. Especially when the person making the most outlandish and false claims with no evidence is... himself.
