Flint's contaminated water...

Today's paper noted that there is still lead contamination in Flint, Michigan's water. How can this possibly be? We can give tax breaks to the wealthy and roll back industry regulations, but we cannot clean up a community's water supply? How is this justice?

There is no biblical justification for locking up children...

My understanding of the Bible suggests that we are expected to do unto others as we would have them do unto us and to welcome the stranger into our land. Nowhere in the Bible is it okay to lock up the stranger and take away and lock up her children.

Sanctuary is not given to those who perform criminal acts breaking our laws or harming Americans. Sanctuary is for people who come to us for protection from corrupt and dangerous governments in their countries of origin. We owe them protection. Sounds good! But it has been used to justify bigotry, false news, and giving corporate entities the same rights as a person to participate in election funding. Justice has been corrupted and the People have lost their power!
